Improvements to the visual vocabulary of datatypes. Both the console1 data object path representation and the named data object in the contour scan2 use new glyphs to represent the composite datatypes in a more complete fashion.
Concise visual representations of the composite datatypes of HDF5 require some effort to get right. You can see further examples in the Datatypes and Dataspaces sections of the Handbook.
